Welcome to the Spring Research Festival
The Spring Research Festival Symposium & Exhibition is an annual event co-sponsored by the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and the Military & Health Research Foundation (MHRF) for the medical and research development community – scientists, researchers, analysts, IT, medical professionals, program managers, contract specialists, and other roles - to collaborate, learn about research at Fort Detrick and the National Cancer Institute at Frederick, hear from industry experts in education sessions, and discover new innovations, services, and products from large and small businesses and nonprofits.
The 2025 Spring Research Festival will include poster displays, an expanded exhibition with more than 80 sponsors, and the keynote, lectures, and new education sessions will be presented in the Community Activities Center (CAC). All presentations in the CAC will be recorded and available on-demand after the event on the Spring Research Festival website.
The scientific lectures and poster presentations showcase the research being conducted in Fort Detrick laboratories. In addition, industry scientists, researchers, and other experts will present educational sessions on research and leading-edge innovations, including AI, AR/VR, and more. The Spring Research Festival attracts approximately 1,000 government, military, and industry professionals from the National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) agencies at Fort Detrick and other federal agencies and local organizations, including local and state government and academic officials.
Call for Posters submissions will open in February and remain open through April 11, 2025. Military and government professionals can submit for the Poster Display, Poster Blitz oral presentation, and Judging of the Posters.

All attendees will be required to register for an Exhibition badge to access the trade show and attend the keynote, lectures and education sessions all held in the Theater area on the exhibition floor at Odom Fitness Center.
